Slip testing from people who actually fix floors

Slip Audit is the slip resistance testing service of Premier Restorations Group Pty Ltd, trading as Premrest, a Melbourne-based commercial floor care company.

Why we built Slip Audit

A pattern kept repeating across the industry: a building owner orders a slip test, a technician turns up, and a week later a PDF arrives full of pendulum numbers and classifications. The invoice is paid, the report goes in a drawer, and nothing changes, because nobody explained what the results meant or what to do about them.

That is a wasted test. Worse, it can leave the owner with documented knowledge of a hazard and no plan to address it.

Slip Audit exists to close that gap. Every engagement ends with three things: results measured to AS 4663:2013, a report in plain English that interprets those results against HB 198:2014 guidance, and a clear referral pathway for any surface that needs rectification. Then, when the work is done, we can retest to document the improvement.

The Premrest connection

Premrest (Premier Restorations Group Pty Ltd) is a commercial floor care company based in Thomastown, Victoria, working across commercial cleaning, floor installations and special restoration projects for facility managers, building managers and corporate clients.

That background matters for slip testing. Slip resistance problems are usually floor care problems: worn finishes, polish build-up, the wrong surface in the wrong place, or a cleaning regime that leaves residue behind. Because our team works on commercial floors every day, our recommendations and referrals are grounded in what actually works on real sites, not just what the numbers say.

How we work

  • Measured, not guessed. Testing of existing surfaces follows AS 4663:2013, and results are interpreted against the published guidance of HB 198:2014.
  • Written for decision makers. Reports are structured for facility managers, owners, boards and insurers, with plain-English findings and prioritised recommendations.
  • Ended with action. Failed surfaces get referral pathways, not shrugs. Rectified surfaces get retested so the improvement is on record.

Where we operate

We service the Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane metropolitan areas, with multi-site and multi-city programs available for portfolio managers.
