Slip testing in Brisbane
On-site slip resistance testing to AS 4663:2013 for commercial facilities, retail, aged care and industrial sites across the Brisbane CBD and greater metropolitan area.
Built for Queensland conditions
Brisbane's subtropical climate is hard on pedestrian surfaces. Sudden heavy downpours flood entry zones and external walkways, covered outdoor areas stay humid, and tiled surfaces that perform well when dry can behave very differently in a summer storm. That makes wet-condition testing especially relevant here.
We test existing surfaces in accordance with AS 4663:2013 using the wet pendulum method, which measures how your floors perform wet, exactly the condition Brisbane weather creates most often. For internal areas that stay reliably dry in service, we also conduct dry floor friction testing.
Brisbane coverage
We service the Brisbane CBD and greater metropolitan area, including the inner suburbs, the northside and southside, and the industrial precincts around the airport and the Port of Brisbane. Sites outside metro Brisbane can be quoted on request.
What we test across Brisbane
Entries, external walkways, ramps and wet areas are the usual priorities, along with any surface with an incident history.
Commercial
CBD office buildings, lobbies and managed facilities across greater Brisbane.
Retail
Shopping centres, supermarkets and dining precincts throughout the metro area.
Aged care
Residential aged care and healthcare facilities across south-east Queensland's capital.
Industrial
Warehouses and logistics sites in Brisbane's key industrial corridors.
What you receive
- Wet pendulum and dry friction test results, with P and D classifications, for every agreed location
- Plain-English interpretation against HB 198:2014 guidance
- Prioritised recommendations, ranked by risk
- Referrals to rectify any surface that falls short
- Optional retesting after rectification to document the improvement
From result to rectification
A pendulum number on its own does not make anyone safer. Slip Audit reports explain what each Brisbane result means, rank findings by risk, and refer you to practical rectification options. We are operated by Premrest (Premier Restorations Group Pty Ltd), a commercial floor care group, so the advice comes from people who work on these surfaces every day.
